The simple mindset shift I wish I had years ago

Hashem’s Got You: Heading Into Rosh Hashana With Confidence and Clarity

We are standing at the very end of Elul — the last Shabbat of the year. Rosh Hashana begins Monday night. The day when our entire year is decided: life, parnassa, health, family, and everything else.

It’s natural to ask: “Did I prepare enough? Am I really ready?”

I’ve struggled with that question for years. At the end of the workday — or after a seder of learning — I often wonder, Did I do enough? Could I have pushed harder? Was I productive enough?

Recently, my wife showed me a tefillah she says when making challah. After finishing the dough and leaving it to rise, she prays: “Hashem, I’ve done my part. Now it’s up to You.”

She suggested I bring that into my own work. At the end of the day, I can say:
“Hashem, I have done my hishtadlut. The results are up to You.”

That one line changes everything. Suddenly there’s no more pressure, no more second-guessing. If I got interrupted a hundred times, if the internet went down, if inspiration never came — it’s not in my control. Hashem never asked me for perfection. He asked me to try.

And when I live with that mindset, life becomes so much simpler. No anxiety. No fear. Just trust: Hashem’s got me.

As we approach Rosh Hashana, that’s the message to carry. Whatever happened until now is exactly what Hashem wanted. What’s left in our hands is today — and how we show up to judgment day. If we can stand before Hashem and say, “I tried my best. You know it. The rest is in Your hands,” that itself is success.

The Elul Reset: Show Hashem You’re Trying

One of the most powerful ways to say “I’m trying” is to take on a structured plan for growth. That’s exactly why I created the 7-Day Elul Reset — a guided journey to help you prepare for Rosh Hashana and the Yamim Noraim with confidence and clarity.

Think of it like an eruv tavshilin. Even if you don’t finish the course before Rosh Hashana, by starting it now you can say to Hashem: “I’ve begun. I will continue during the Aseret Yemei Teshuva.”

The course is packed with value as well as the following BONUSES:

  • 📓 Elul Reset Journal with daily prompts to make your growth real and lasting.

  • 🎯 Personal Kabbalah Guide to help you design a small, powerful, and sustainable commitment for the year ahead.

  • 🙏 60-Second Gratitude Journal with 100+ prompts to help you feel positive in just a minute.

  • 💬 30-Day WhatsApp subscription with bite-sized 4-minute daily gratitude messages.

And right now, you’ll also receive:

  • 🎁 Bonus seat to gift to a friend or family member.

  • 🎉 Entry into a raffle with great prizes — including the “Hashem’s Got You” hoodie.

💡 If cost is an issue, please don’t let that hold you back. At checkout, you’ll see a scholarship option. Cost should never be the reason not to grow.

Divrei Torah for Parshat Nitzavim

We think we know what teshuva means. But look closely at this week’s parsha, and you’ll see a definition that might surprise you — and maybe even change the way you approach the Yamim Noraim.

Parshat Nitzavim isn’t just about the past — it may hold the key to our future. Buried in its opening words is a secret about how redemption will come… and how soon.

The best diets are not restrictive. They are the complete opposite. Don’t cut out sugar and bread and cake. Instead add in drinking more water, eating more protein, more vegetables, more clean food. We think that growth is about getting rid of the bad but that’s often not sustainable on its own. Watch the video to hear what Parshat Nitzavim has to say about this.

As we head into Rosh Hashana, may we all merit to feel the calm and confidence of knowing that Hashem doesn’t expect perfection — only effort. And when we bring our effort, Hashem carries the rest.

Shabbat Shalom & Ketivah V’Chatimah Tovah,
Amir
